Over the past few years, rising production costs, global manufacturing, and pandemic-related challenges have made it increasingly difficult to produce high-quality, pre-painted miniatures which ultimately led to the decision to end development.

Although development is ending, we are not stepping away from these games entirely. Atomic Mass Games will continue to support tournaments and Organized Play for both games, with OP kits to be found in your local shops, culminating in the Open World Championship at AdeptiCon in March 2025.

Invisible Hand Expansion Pack

Flagship of the cruel General Grievous, the Invisible Hand has its own dark reputation. Its presence at the head of the Separatist navy heralds shameless avarice and calculated destruction on a galaxy-shocking scale. But it is not alone. Each Providence-class Dreadnought bristles with heavy armament, shrugs off enemy ordnance with powerful shielding, and leads whole fleets of lesser ships into battle. Carrying countless fighters and battle droids to the front, these dreadnoughts are the soulless heart of the Separatist war machine.

Whether you’re commanding the infamous Invisible Hand itself or another Providence-class Dreadnought, this Expansion Pack gives you everything you need to add one of these daunting warships to your fleet. A beautifully detailed, pre-painted miniature makes an imposing presence on the field while two ship cards allow you to field it as either a Providence-class Dreadnought or Carrier.

As one of the most prominent ships in the Separatist Navy, the Providence-class Dreadnought often leads Separatist fleets into battle and 14 upgrade cards give you the freedom to outfit it for battle. Among them is the Supreme Commander of the Separatist Droid Army himself, General Grievous, who rallies those under his command after a friendly ship or unique squadron is destroyed, allowing them to ready a defense token or recover and exhaust a discarded defense token.

Recusant-class Destroyer Expansion Pack

Produced in vast numbers by the Commerce Guild, the Recusant-class Destroyer reinforces the daunting ranks of the Separatist fleet. The Recusant is a formidable warship, capable of independent command and armed with an array of turbolasers for long-range combat and lighter laser cannons to cover against fighter attack. Its speed and maneuverability threaten the weak points of an enemy battle line, but when gathered together, they can overwhelm more powerful Republic ships with their sheer numbers.

Within this expansion, you’ll find everything you need to add a Recusant-class Destroyer to your fleets, beginning with a beautifully detailed, pre-painted miniature. Two ship cards bring this miniature to life on your tabletop as either a Light Destroyer or a Support Destroyer, each featuring their own unique armament and upgrade bar.

Beyond the ship cards themselves, 14 upgrade cards invite you to make your Recusant-class Destroyer even more specialized with additional weapons, titles, and officers such as the Commerce Guild’s Shu Mai, who gives her ship the chance to reroll up to three dice while attacking a ship during two non-consecutive rounds.

Maar misschien zijn er ook nog anderen die hun collectie willen uitbreiden o.i.d. waarbij het idee ontstond waarom bestellen we dat niet in 1 keer bij een webshop o.i.d. en verdelen de verzendkosten (mocht de bestelling verzendkosten hebben) Bijv. als we direct bij FFG zelf bestellen.

Als dit niet het geval is ga ik zelf op termijn kijken hoe ik aan deze expansions kan komen ( wanneer - geen idee )

FFG heeft bevestigt dat de Clone Wars naar Star Wars Armada komt in 2020. Dit is al in april 2019 bekend gemaakt

At Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, FFG announced that they are finally bringing Clone Wars to Star Wars Armada! This will complete the cycle of Clone Wars coming to all of their games that still have physical product in development.

This is extremely good news for Armada players! There has certainly been a lack of news over the past few years, but now Armada is approaching what very well may be a golden age. The Super Star Destroyer, the Rebellion in the Rim campaign, two un-announced “sizeable” ships, and the Clone Wars itself, all in development at this point means we have more product in the pipeline for Armada than we’ve ever had before.

Hopefully this means new Armada players will have a cheaper entry point. Either through a cheaper starter or an essentials pack. Armada’s principle downfall has been it’s entry cost, and with a $99 starter, many players simply skip it and jump to X-Wing instead. Although the high cost of entry hasn’t been a problem with Legion, that may likely be due to the tremendous amount of units that come in the Legion core set, compared to the Armada Core Set.

So most of the new product should be in stores before the end of 2019, while the Clone Wars should be hitting Armada in 2020! And this almost certainly doesn’t mean the end of support for the Rebels and the Empire as well! Plus we have high hopes for card packs to come as well, which will allow new players to gain all the missing upgrade cards that were exclusive to only one faction previously! Armada’s future is very bright!

de map zelf is veel groter alleen hij wordt kleiner geschaald.

2 jaar geleden zijn we begonnen met de Armada Campaign - The Corellian Conclict en na 4 Battles komen we nu eindelijk in september bij elkaar voor Battle 5 wat ook de einde van de Turn betekent waarbij de teams de score op kunnen maken voor de betreffende Turn.
Persoonlijk vind ik het allemaal wat traag gaan waarbij groepsintresse is gedaald tot een minimum terwijl het juist een gaaf spel is en wat aardig wat gekost heeft qua aanschaf.

Mijn intentie is om de Campaign meer dynamiek en betrokkenheid te geven door het volgende voor te stellen:

1. Op het forum wordt een topic per Battle geplaatst en in dat topic wordt vooraf door de team wat aan de beurt is bepaald welke Battle waar gaat plaatsvinden aan de hand van de map. (zie SSWAC menu).

Voorbeeld - Bij Battle 5 is het beurt aan het Imperial Team en dat team zet (zet na overleg met elkaar wat buiten het forum plaats vindt bijv. door whatsappgroepje of -email ) in dat topic waar men de Battle wilt gaan doen bijvoorbeeld: Battle Raiderspoint.

LET OP:  De teams hoeven niet te melden welke vloot gaat participeren ! Het is puur een locatie keuze.

Na de Battle post van het Imperial team kan het Rebel team al van te voren bedenken (buiten het forum om) welke vloot deze aanval gaat tegenhouden voor dat de Battle feitelijk plaats vindt zo krijg je als teams veel meer dynamiek en tijd om strategisch keuzes te maken. Zo wordt de campaign zelf meer betrokken bij het spel.

2. Datum wordt gepolled voor de Battle.

3. Team leden melden zich aan waarbij er minimaal 1 rebel en imperial speler beschikbaar moeten zijn.

4. De Battle wordt gespeeld.

Het voordeel is dat de setup vele malen gemakkelijker en sneller is waardoor we gelijk kunnen spelen i.p.v. een uur minimaal verzinnen wat we gaan doen.

Ik hoop dat hiermee Armada een revive krijgt waarvan het enthousiasme van af spat :).
