Highlights
* GCW Leaderboard – Access the GCW Leaderboard from the War Terminal / War Intel Pad / War Table. It displays the top scores of the Galactic Civil War. Characters contribute to the character GCW Leaderboard by contributing to the GCW score as individuals or as members of a guild or citizens of a city.
* Guild Waypoint Registry – Guilds with at least ten members now have access to a Guild Waypoint Registry. With this registry guild leaders can upload waypoints for the guild members to download.
* City Waypoint Registry – The City Waypoint Registry is a new window that allows mayors of player cities to upload waypoints for the citizens of that city to download.

* The Year 5 gift is now available to claim!
GCW Leaderboard
* Access the GCW Leaderboard from the War Terminal / War Intel Pad / War Table. It displays the top scores of the Galactic Civil War. Characters contribute to the character GCW Leaderboard by contributing to the GCW score as individuals or as members of a guild or citizens of a city.
* The GCW leaderboard period is weekly and starts/ends every Thursday at 19:00:00 GMT / 11:00:00 PST / 12:00:00 PDT (same time as the GCW rank update). At the end of the period, the winners are determined, and the list (and everyone's GCW Leaderboard score) is reset to start a new period.
* GCW leaderboard tracking will start Thursday September 2 2010 at 19:00:00 GMT / 12:00:00 PDT, and the first set of winners will be determined the following Thursday September 9 2010 at 19:00:00 GMT / 12:00:00 PDT.
* Guild/City
o Individuals need to be the same faction alignment as their city/guild to contribute to their guild/city GCW Leaderboard score.
o In order to contribute to the score and receive credit for the guild/city GCW Leaderboard the character must have been in the guild/city for the period for which the guild/city won the GCW leaderboard. Characters that join a guild/city in between periods will not contribute to the guild/city GCW Leaderboard for her guild/city will start contributing to their guild/city GCW leaderboard at the start of the next GCW Leaderboard period.
o The restriction for access to the ImperialWarRoom / RebelWarRoom chat room and the Imperial War Planner / Rebel War Planner title has been changed. Only same faction aligned GCW leaderboard winner for the past 2 weeks, or same faction aligned mayor or guild leader of a same faction aligned city or guild GCW leaderboard winner for the past 2 weeks are allowed to enter the ImperialWarRoom / RebelWarRoom chat room and have access to the Imperial War Planner / Rebel War Planner title.
* Messaging
o Whenever the character/guild/city position on the GCW leaderboard for the current period changes, a message is sent to the GCW channel for the character/all guild members/all citizens notifying of the position change for the character/guild/city.
o In-game mail is sent to the characters/guild leaders/mayors of the winners when a GCW leaderboard period ends, and the winners for the character/guild/city leaderboards are determined.
* Titles, Badges and Collections
o Title for making the current (i.e. most recent) GCW leaderboard winners list: Reigning Alliance Hero / Reigning Imperial Champion.
o Title for having won (at any time) 1st place in the GCW leaderboard winners list: Elite Alliance Hero / Elite Imperial Champion
o Title for making the GCW leaderboard winners list 1 time, 5 times, 10 times, 15 times...: Decorated Alliance Hero - x Time(s) / Decorated Imperial Champion - x Time(s)
o The Imperial GCW Leaderboard - Current Winner / Rebel GCW Leaderboard - Current Winner title is available to the current character GCW leaderboard winners. The title will be removed if the character doesn't make the next character GCW leaderboard winners list.
o The GCW Leaderboard section in the Achievement tab of the Collections window displays the count of how many times the character has made the GCW leaderboard winners list and how many times the character was a guild member/citizen of a guild/city that won the GCW leaderboard.
o The GCW Leaderboard section in the Badges tab of the Collections window displays badges the character has earned from the GCW leaderboard. It also displays the badges the character has earned for being a guild member/citizen of a guild/city that won the GCW leaderboard. Badges (and associated titles) are granted for winning 1st place, and for making the GCW leaderboard winners list 1 time, 5 times, 10 times, 15 times... as an individual and as a guild member/citizen of a guild/city.
* Guild/City Travel Point Perk
o The guilds and cities in the most recent winners list will be given access to guild/city travel points. 1st and 2nd place winners will get 2 guild/city travel points. 3rd, 4th, and 5th place winners will get 1 guild/city travel point.
o The guild/city travel point privilege is revoked if the guild/city does not make the next winners list. To reiterate, the guild/city travel point privilege is only available to the guilds and cities in the most recent winners list.
o Using the guild/city waypoint registry, the guild leader/mayor can designate the guild/city travel point(s).
o There is a 1 minute cooldown after deactivating a guild/city travel point before activating another guild/city travel point.
o Using the guild/city waypoint registry, guild members/citizens can travel (at no cost) to the starport/shuttleport/camp with shuttle beacon nearest to the guild/city travel point.
o Only the following locations can be designated as guild/city travel point: Corellia, Dantooine, Dathomir, Endor, Kashyyyk - Etyyy, Kashyyyk - Kachirho, Kashyyyk - Khowir, Lok, Mustafar, Naboo, Rori, Talus, Tatooine, Yavin 4.
o You must be at the following locations to use a guild/city travel point: Corellia, Dantooine, Dathomir, Endor, Kashyyyk - Etyyy, Kashyyyk - Kachirho, Kashyyyk - Khowir, Lok, Mustafar, Naboo, Rori, Talus, Tatooine, Yavin 4.
o You cannot use a guild/city travel point if you are in combat, incapacitated/dead, riding on a pet, or in a vehicle.
Guild Waypoint Registry
* The guild leader can upload waypoint to the guild waypoint registry from the waypoint's radial menu.

* Ground PvP kills only contribute to the GCW score if the killer is "factional presence eligible".
Hoth
* Players achieving a flawless victory during a bonus weekend should now correctly receive the Badge and painting.
Beast Master
* The amount of loyalty needed to reach BFF has been reduced by approximately 50%.
* Beast Dietary Supplements now also affect the pet's loyalty gain by roughly the same amount as the supplements effect on experience gain.
* When receiving a COMPNOR experience bonus from a destroy mission, your pet will now also receive 50% of the experience needed for the pets current level.
* Active players will see an increasing bonus to the beast XP earned pr. kill, as their pet's level increases.
Restuss
* All Restuss weapons can now be deconstructed.
GCW
* You can now buy the Imperial Gunner and Rebel Trooper Helmets using city invasion tokens. The helmets are sold by the Rebel and Imperial recruiters.
Beast Master
* Beast Dietary Supplements have been made to more accurately communicate the beasts for which they are formulated.
* COMPNOR mission bonuses will now benefit pets regardless of their master's class.
Restuss
* The Crusader Pistol, Crusader Carbine, Crusader Rifle, Deadbolt Pistol and C-M Reaper Rifle now all receive an appearance damage bonus when crafted.
* The Restuss weapons will no longer bio-link the schematic when deconstructed.

* Beast Master
o Fix to pets that hit BFF without having their loyalty level updated.
o Fix to the loyalty progress tracker. The loyalty progress should now be correctly shown as a value between 0 - 100%

Star Wars Galaxies: Galactic Moon Festival Game Update 18.0
On Thursday, October 21, 2010, at 4:00 AM PDT all U.S. and European galaxies will be brought down for server maintenance and a Hotfix. The servers are expected to be down for 4 hours.
When the Game Update is complete, all galaxies will be live but unavailable while we complete final testing. All galaxies will be made available after that time.

Highlights
In an effort to gain more support from the planets Naboo and Tatooine, Jabba the Hutt has decided to throw the annual Galactic Moon Festival once more so everyone can celebrate the horrifyingly awesome haunts of the season. Jabba has grown tired of all the love festivals, celebrations of life, and other saccharine events. Thus, he has taken it upon himself to throw the scariest festival of the year!
Galactic Moon Festival
Jabba's festival is back with new spooky rewards and a new badge! Head on over to the Moenia and Mos Eisley starports (waypoints 4790 -4777 and 3523 -4806 respectively) and join in on another season of happy haunts.

A mysterious Afflicted Storyteller vendor haunts the festival this year offering familiar and surprising new rewards. We were too scared to get within biting distance to find out exactly what. Do you dare discover his secrets?
Event specific storyteller tokens are displayed as such in the storyteller vendors menu.
Event storyteller tokens will only be available for purchase during the event.
Unused tokens will not be destroyed when the event ends but you wont be able to place them until next year's event.
There is a surprise waiting for you after you earn the new GMF badge this year. Use it horrifyingly!
You can now upgrade more than one projector to Tier 3. Even if you already upgraded a projector in the past, talk to Z'ozpheratu and he will offer to upgrade your projector as long as you have a tier 2 projector in your inventory.
Bat and Spider Pheromone schematics purchased from Z'ozpheratu will craft stacks of 50 to 100.
No-Trade has been removed from many of the GMF vendor items and the old costumes are no longer flagged as 'no-trade remove'.

Star Wars Galaxies: Witches of Dathomir - Game Update 18.2
Highlights

On the far edge of the galaxy lies the hostile planet known as Dathomir. It is inhabited by many aggressive beings, including the Witches of Dathomir, a group of Force-sensitive women who ride fearsome rancors. There are two key clans of the witches - a group of Darksiders calling itself the Nightsisters and the Singing Mountain Clan that follows the lighter side of the Force.

The Nightsisters and Singing Mountain clans are at constant odds with one another - and with visitors who fail to show the proper respect. Visitors often find themselves siding with either side of the feud - benefiting from trade with these powerful indigenous creatures. Outcast clans continuously try their best to convince the visitors to work against the two main powers.

Dathomir can only be accessed by special charter transports operated by skilled pilots. Its terrain is highly dangerous. In addition to the rancors, the witches are a constant threat on the planet.

Upon their arrival on Dathomir, a representative for Omogg, a Drackmarian Warlord, greets brave explorers to warn them about the mysteries of the planet and the dangerous battle between the witch clans. From that point the visitors can start earning the trust of the Nightsisters or the Singing Mountain Clan.

Witches of Dathomir Prologue
* A representative of the Warlord Omogg is looking to hire people willing to explore the wilds of Dathomir. He can now be found in the Trade Outpost of Dathomir.
* Visit this dangerous planet in this prologue to the Witches of Dathomir. This update will allow you to explore the first part of the story and start earning the trust of either the Nightsisters or the Singing Mountain Clan.

* Flank 1-3 should no longer block weapon critical effects.

Witches of Dathomir Prologue
* Rubina's answer will now be a lot clearer if you ask about your faction standing after having earned enough recognition to be ready for the WoD Themepark.
* Updated the journal entry for the Kill Mutant Rancor's and Kill Spider Clan Members to make it clear that the waypoint are meant to indicate the general region where the targets can be found rather than indicating a specific spawn location.
* Nightsister Medium Potted Tree Style I has the correct appearance.
Chat
* You can no longer initiate a tell while in the tutorial (Imperial Station, Millennium Falcon, Tansarii Point Station, Station Gamma, and Ord Mantell Space). You can still reply to tell (/reply), retell (/retell /rtell), and targeted tell (/ttell).

The Galactic Senate: Master Issue List
These improvements are based on feedback collected by The Galactic Senate on the Star Wars Galaxies official forums.
* Roleplay: OOC Title
o "You are now OOC." and "You are no longer OOC." system messages have been added.
* Politician: Mayor emails not received
o Mayor mail for citizen moving out of the city or structure has been removed is now correctly sent regardless of the mayor's online/offline status.
* Neutral: Factional Helper Status Isn't Displayed in the GCW Tab of the Character Sheet
o The GCW tab of the character sheet now displays the character's factional helper status, if any. This only applies when viewing your own character sheet. Others viewing your character sheet will continue to see Civilian.
* Structure Traders: Access Locks fail to add individuals properly
o Any character can now be added to/removed from the access lock permission list regardless of online/offline/nearby status.
* PA/Grouping: Click-to-DB doesn't work in Guild Wars
o Guild war combatants can now click to death blow incapacitated guild war combatants.
GCW City Invasions
* Fixed an issue that caused the invasions to sometimes not start correctly.
* Slicing a supply terminal to tier 6/8/9/10 will give out 5/10/15/20 points of underworld faction.
* Incorrectly slicing GCW supply terminals will only cause fatigue if you're at tier 3 or higher.
Galactic Moon Festival
* This year's celebration has come to end. We're looking forward to terrifying you more next year.
* All storyteller props that were persisted using the GMF persist wand will expire.
* Unused event specific storyteller tokens will remain but you won't be able to use them until next year's event.
Star Wars Galaxies: Hotfix 18.5
On Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 4:00 AM PST all U.S. and European galaxies will be brought down for server maintenance and a Hotfix. The servers are expected to be down for about 4 hours.

Player City
* The "Inactive Citizen - 60 Days Offline" notification mail should now only be sent for inactive citizens. Previously, it was also sent for inactive non-citizens, causing %TT to appear on those mail.
* The City Maintenance Paid mail now contains the updated treasury balance.
Fishing
* The rule for achieving the record fishing collections/badges has been changed. You only need to catch a Gigantic (or better) Length Genetics fish to get the record fishing collections/badges. The fish Examine window displays the fish's Length Genetics.
* The names of the fishing collections/badges have been changed to more accurately reflect the new rule of Gigantic fish rather than Record fish.
* While record fish accomplishment is no longer reflected in the fishing collections/badges, all other aspects of the record fish system remain unchanged - no record reset (at least for the foreseeable future), record fish tracking, record fish listing, record fish renaming, Examine window record fish information, current record holder title, comm. message from NPC when catching a record fish, etc.
* The ELUSIVE fish system remains unchanged, including the 70 ELUSIVE fish badges and the permanent guild/city travel point perk.
Bazaar Terminal
* The STAP-1 speeder deed no longer appear as a code string on the bazaar.

Wookiee Life Day
Life Day is back with new rewards and a new badge! The towns of Dearic, Wayfar, and Doaba Guerfel have been decorated for the celebration of Wookiee Life Day. Visit the Life Day NPCs to sign up for the festivities! Imperial organizers, called Trandoshan Traders, can be found near the shuttleports; Rebel organizers, Wookiee Freedom Fighters, are near cantinas. Stop by the Life Day tree for gifts, music, and a special quest from Saun Dann!
* A character must be at least 10 days old and not on a trial account to claim the Life Day gifts or to use the decoration device.

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back with an all-new trading card game expansion! LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) proudly present The Price of Victory, the latest expansion in the successful Star Wars Galaxies™ Trading Card Game. Experience a never-before-told story that takes place in parallel with pivotal moments of the Galactic Civil War as seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. This set adds more that 175 new playable cards that feature unique keyword abilities like "Versatile" and "Entanglement."

* The wearable Whip Belt is no longer called a hat in its description.
