nou dan eind herfst, maar zo vlak voor kerst, doch Sytes is meestal goed van zaken op de hoogte en als hij zegt 2012, dan ga ik het wel geloven.
Zelfs de alwetende Sytes zal het nog niet zeker weten. Het blijft gissen wanneer swtor uitkomt. Kan dit jaar nog zijn en evengoed volgend jaar.
Bioware heeft het tot nu toe alleen maar over een Financial Year 2011 gehad. Dat loopt tot maart 2012. En zelfs dat wil nog niets zeggen. Totdat Bioware en/of EA met een officieel statement komt kan het dus echt nog alle kanten op.

Ik ga er zeker bij zijn. Toch een toepasselijk afscheid van een "era". Ik ga mijn twee accounts activeren. Zowel met Ab'ib en Akjab op Europe Chimeara 😉 als met de karakters van mijn tweede account op Eclipse. Voor mijn tweede account gebruik ik de 45 dagen gratis voor die ik op dat account nog tegoed heb 🙂
Nog een allerlaatste keer in SWG rondhobbelen en avonturen beleven tot het definitieve afscheid daar is.
Ik vind toch wel dat we als STA aan elkaar verplicht zijn een waardig afscheid aan onze SWG tijd te geven....

The Battle Comes To An Explosive End
We all know that Star Wars Galaxies will end on December 15th, 2011, but did you know that how Star Wars Galaxies ends is up to you?
Beginning in September, the ongoing Galactic Civil War will escalate further as both sides seek to decisively win the epic conflict. In addition to all of the current Galactic Civil War activities, new events and contests will provide you with new ways to earn Galactic Civil War points and advantages you can use to help your side win.
At a time and date yet to be announced, but prior to December 15th, all Galactic Civil War points will be tallied by server. The side with the higher score will win the game, and the galaxy, for each server, as well as change the way the game will end and what happens in the final moments. Celebrations will be in order for those who win and, for the losers, let's just say they'll be going out with a bang.
Neutral players will also see new decorations in the Storyteller system that will allow them to host their own shutdown events if they choose to opt out of the final battles in the Galactic Civil War.
Suit up, grab your blasters or lightsabers, or get to your ships. Never before has taking bases or winning battles meant so much. Every kill counts now. Every moment counts. The fate of the galaxy is in your hands.
Who Is Eligible?
We know that a lot of you are interested in rejoining the community to be with us for the Star Wars Galaxies galaxy-ending in-game event. To be part of this event, you must have an active paid SWG Game subscription or active Game Pass or SOE All Access Game Pass, and your account must be in good standing (not suspended or banned), on September 15, 2011.
If you've been away from SWG and you're looking to return for the final chapter and the galaxy-ending event please log into your Station Account and purchase a 30-day SWG Game Pass to reactivate your account. You will only be charged once and you will be able to play SWG through to the end of the game in December. If you have a non-recurring SWG Game Pass (for example, if you're playing on a pre-paid game card) please log into your Station Account and click on GAME PASS INO to confirm whether your SWG Game Pass will still be active on September 15, 2011. If not, and you wish to play through to the galaxy-ending event, please purchase additional game time so that your account will be active on September 15, 2011.
Recurring SWG Game Passes will not be billed after September 15, 2011. Recurring SOE All Access Game Passes will continue to be billed after that date.
