Bij Nedgame.nl kwam ik de expansion "Forces of Corruption" tegen voor een tientje dus die heb ik gelijk maar even besteld 🙂

Spreading corruption is the key to Underworld dominance. Corrupting planets can:
Influence galactic strategy for all factions.
Earn money and other bonuses for the Underworld while slowing enemies� production times, weakening their planetary defenses, and increasing their production costs.
Move you undetected across the galactic map through corrupted planets.
Allow access to information on opposing forces and base configurations.
New hero characters such as Luke Skywalker, Yoda, and bounty hunters like Bossk and IG-88 use their own distinct special abilities in battle.
New additions to land-tactical action include terrain modifiers, bunkers, mobile defenses and troop transports.
Acquire forbidden new units and outlawed black-market technology en route to creating the criminal Underworld�s most devastating attack force.
Conquer 13 newly added planet maps (Bespin�s Cloud City, Mustafar, Kamino, Utapau, Felucia, Mandalore and more), plus all 43 in the Empire at War core product.
Surprise the enemy with guerrilla warfare tactics, such as chemical weapons, radioactive contamination, mines, holograms, disguises and camouflage.
Win space battles with unique weaponry, including cloaking technology, buzz droids, cluster bombs, mines, shield leeching and jamming devices.
Form unlikely alliances with groups such as the Rebel Alliance and Black Sun

Heroes:

Name: Nightsister
Class: Mounted Infantry
Intel: The Nightsisters of Dathomir are Force sensitive female warriors who have been seduced by the dark side of the Force. During Battle, Nightsisters use Rancors as weapons, riding on top and controlling them via the Force.
Special Ability: Drain Life - Drains Life from nearby enemy units, healing the Nightsister.

Name: Ewok Handler
Class: Infantry
Intel: Fat, disgusting and smelly. Ewok Handlers travel the galaxy in search of new and interesting creatures to force into service. Their most lucrative endeavour is to capture Ewoks, strap bombs to their chests and stuff them into a big bag until needed in battle.
Special Ability: None

Name: Yoda
Class: Jedi Grand Master
Intel: Yoda the Jedi Master is small yet very powerful. His meditative trance temporarily lifts the fog of war and allies in his presence receive bonuses. Yoda is only available in Galactic Conquest and Land Skirmish games.
Build Options: Force Attack - Yoda's specialized lightsaber attack move.
Force Sight - When enabled Yoda goes into a meditative trance, temporarily revealing the map.

Name: Grand Admiral Thrawn (Admonitor)
Class: Imperial Grand Admiral
Intel: The Emperor despises non-humans, but there are a few exceptions such as Grand Admiral Thrawn. He is the only non-human to ever gain the Imperial Rank of Grand Admiral. Thrawn has an incredible talent for tactics and strategy.
Special Ability: Assault - Thrawn's ISD will fire all weapon hardpoints at the selected enemy target at twice the speed and doing twice the damage for a limited time.
(Innate) Combat Bonus - Imperial Units Fighting within a specific distance of Thrawn receive a Damage Bonus.

Name: Bossk
Class: Bounty Hunter
Intel: A tenacious and greedy Trandoshan bounty hunter who values credits over everything else. Bossk also pilots the ship Hound's Tooth
Special Abilities: Flamethrower (Land) - Fires a Flamethrower that is deadly to all infantry.
Weapon Swap (Land) - Bossk Switches between a Grenade Launcher and his Rifle, Grenades cause a massive amount of damage.
Sensor Jamming (Space) - Hides Units from Enemy Radar.

Name: TIE Interceptor
Class: Fighter
Intel: The TIE Interceptor is a technical advancement of the standard TIE Fighter. It is faster, more manoeuvrable, slightly better armoured, and has better Firepower
Special Ability: Hunt - Automatically Seek Out and Destroy Enemies

Name: Executor
Class: Star Dreadnaught (Super Star Destroyer)
Intel: The Executor is one of several known Super Star Destroyers commissioned by the Empire. It is a symbol of the Empire's unlimited power and the might of any Imperial fleet.
Special Ability: Deploy all Squadrons - Deploys all fighter squadrons at once.
Tractor Beam - Fires a beam that latches onto and holds ships in place.

Zoals mijn xfire het al een beetje verraad ben ik bezig met de Singke Player Campaign van Forces of Corruption en dat is best grappig.

Empire at War speelt zich voor de Battle of Yavin af en Forces of Corruption speelt zich af tussen Battle of Yavin en Battle of Endor waarbij de EU character Prins Xizor (bekend van Shadown of the Empire game en novel) ook een rolletje heeft in de storyline

Leuke game ! Ook al had ik Empire at War al een jaar of 6 op de plank staan 🙂

Grmbl ik zit vast op de laatste Missie - GRRRR

Plot: Empire is verslagen bij Endor en vluchten naar KUAT waar ze hun shipyards hebben zodat ze een stardestroyers kunnen repareren. Een andere taak is om een andere Mega Star Destroyer (niet de Executer) te veroveren en te behouden.
Nu help je de rebels om de shipyards te vernietigen - fikse space battle. Ok dat lukt wel maar als je dan klaar bent moet je de Rebels verdrijven uit de KUAT Sector en de Millenium Falcon vernietigen.

Dus je komt als zwaar gehavend uit de strijd tegen de Empire en dan moet je ook nog tig capital rebel ships vernietigen.

Lastig !

Vanavond heb ik de storyline van Empire at War uitgespeeld en moet zeggen zeer vermakelijk 🙂

Ik ben nog steeds verwikkeld in een heftige campagne tegen Sytes :). Erg leuke game !

Nou... ik heb eindelijk de tutorial afgerond!

Leuk wanneer we gaan een relaxte campaign doen ;)? De campaign tegen Sytes echt een hardcore campaign 😀

Naar waarschijnlijkheid is de mogelijkheid tot het spelen over Internet uitgeschakeld.

Van de week gaan Sytes proberen dit te spelen via de LAN optie. We hebben een VPN opgezet en misschien lukt het om deze game via VPN te spelen.

MOVE ALONG MOVE ALONG - MISSION FAILED

Ik heb een fix gevonden om de Multiplayer Save Games weer te kunnen laden. Je moet het spel tegenwoordig wel spelen via GameRanger en het handigst is om beide dezelfde versie te spelen dus of de steam versie of de standalone versie.

actually ended up figuring it out. Just need to go to steam/SteamApps/common/starwarsempireatwargold and add in a folder called "saves" then transfer the saved files from localdiskC/users/"name"/saved games/petroglyph/empireatwar/save to the new saved folder put into the steam file location. After that you should be able to see at least one of your previous saves once you start up game ranger if you'd played multiplayer before. Load that one up and just save over it as you go along.

Fix werkt 100% 🙂 dus dat wordt weer het gevecht aangaan in de galactic conquest mode.
