In de aankomende patch 2.6 voor Pirates of the Burning Sea kan je gaan vissen! In de verschillende regio's van je andere vissen, als je beet hebt kan je de buit inleveren en ruilen tegen verschillen consumables en fittings. Als je mazzel hebt vang je een rare region-exclusive trophy fish!
Om te vissen zullen er nieuwe hengels, aas en dobbers worden toegevoegd. Heb je een complete uitrusting gekocht dan kan je aan de slag gaan op een van de vis plekken in de haven. Na het uitgooien van je lijn heb je alleen nog een hoop geluk en geduld nodig!

We have all been there – dillydallying while dailies reset, going AFK while accumulating labor, meeting up with mates for fleeting, or just soaking in the scenery… generally standing around on the docks for whatever reason. But what if the glistening waters around you offered something to do while you wait? What if you could bait a hook, cast a line into the clear blue, and yank up a chicken of the Burning Sea? Well, mateys, that’s exactly what Hesh and I have been working on recently: Angling is on the horizon!
Starting with 2.6, every port will have several places to cast a line and fish. Each of the game’s nine geographic regions will feature some species variation (some species being rarer than others), and a fishmonger will be standing by in every port to exchange your catches for a variety of new consumables and fittings. The crème de la crème, however, are the region-exclusive Trophy Fish… we have some special things planned for them! (/cryptic statement)
A new Angling feature also means new Angling items, so 2.6 will offer two different rods and a bevy of baits and lures. You can get all the necessary tackle from the aforementioned fishmonger, but of course we’ll also have some sweet tackle options in Treasure Aisle to increase your chances of catching the more coveted fish types. In order to cast a line, you will only need to equip a rod, use a bait or lure, and go to a fishing hole in any port. With some patience and a little luck (just like in real life), you may end up with a catch of the day!
Angling is something that we feel fits perfectly with the game, in zeitgeist, region, and gameplay, so we are excited for you to get your hands on it and tell us what you think. A taste of the new Angling system will be previewable on Testbed for a limited time when we push 2.5 in the near future (stay tuned). We are having a lot of fun making this new feature, and we think you will have even more fun playing it.
