Na het spelen van Star Wars Imperial Assault wordt het hoog tijd om een topic te maken over een andere top game: Star Wars Armada
Wat is Star Wars Armada?
Star Wars Armada is een spel waarbij tactiek en strategie de boventoon voert in tegenstelling tot X Wing - miniature game, waarbij fast paced dogfighting een key element is.
Je voert commando over jouw vloot ( imperial of rebel ) en het doel is om je tegenstander te verslaan.
LET OP: in topic wordt niet alle spelregels en elementen besproken maar een greep van de regels en acties. voor de complete uitleg kan je HIER de complete spelregels vinden.
Core set bevat de volgende vloot items:

Dit spel komt zonder board of speel mat dus je bent vrij in het verplaatsen van je vloot en is niet gebonden aan een vaste speelruimte.
Hoe wordt Armada gespeeld?
Armada wordt gespeelt over 6 speelrondes en elke ronde bestaat uit de volgende fases:
1. Command Phase: Players assign command dials
to each of their ships.
2. Ship Phase: Players take turns attacking with
and moving each of their ships.
3. Squadron Phase: Players take turns attacking
with or moving their squadrons.
4. Status Phase: Players ready all of their defense
tokens and flip over the initiative token.
At the end of the Status Phase, the player with the
initiative token places the next highest round token
next to the play area. Then the next round begins.
Players continue playing the game until either one
fleet destroys all of the other fleet’s ships or the
sixth round ends.
Het leuke in de Command Phase is dat elke speler zijn commands geheimelijk instelt zonder medeweten van zijn tegenstander. Dit gebeurt met Dials die de speler onderste boven plaatst op het speelveld zodat de tegenstander niet weet wat de speler van plan is.

De Ship phase bestaat uit de volgende acties:

De Squadron Phase bestaat uit de actie dat de spelers de squadrons activeren en aanvullende acties uit te voeren

Wanneer heb je gewonnen met Star Wars Armada?
Je hebt gewonnen wanneer alle schepen van je tegenstander zijn vernietigd. Als dit niet het geval is wint de speler met de hoogste score.
Het is een spel voor 2 spelers en duurt ongeveer 2 a 3 uur ! even omgerekend naar STA tijden 4 tot 6 uur 🙂
Ja, klinkt ook als een mooi spel.
Ik houd het voorlopig bij een dog fighting space game en een ground battle game.
Maar ja, je weet nooit.

Dat betekend dat Armada nu ook speelbaar wordt voor meerdere spelers ! ( tot 6 spelers ) het is een mix van Armada & Rebellion waarbij je controle wilt krijgen over de Corellian Sector!
Your Path to Victory
The dramatic events of The Corellian Conflict and your struggles for the Corellian Sector play out over multiple campaign turns during which you and your teammates meet your foes in games of Armada, or battles. These are fought at any of the twenty-five different strategic locations depicted on the expansion's map, and the results of these battles carry forward, reshaping the sector and your position within the campaign.
You may suffer damage to your ships, leaving them weaker for ensuing battles. You may gain resources with which you can repair your ships or add to their upgrades. You may even be able to add new ships to your fleet. At the same time, your unique squadrons and the crews of well-captained ships may gain veteran status, making them more effective in future combats. Or the damage they suffer may leave them scarred. It is even possible for them to meet their demise, and all those unique ships, squadrons, or crew who do fall in battle are removed from the remainder of the campaign.
Of course, you need to pay attention to the impact your battle will have on your fleet, but it is the success or failure of your bid for the Corellian Sector, itself, that will ultimately matter most. To this end, no matter whether you play as Rebel or Imperial, you need to mind the strategic importance of all the sector's twenty-five battlegrounds, and you need to determine the best time to make your play for any of them. These different planets, stations, and asteroid belts are worth varying numbers of campaign points when you assault one and destroy your opponent's base or outpost. Moreover, many of these locations offer advantages in the terms of strategic effects that you gain while you control them.
In the end, a team wins control of the Corellian Sector when it scores a set number of campaign points based on the number of players, and because each team can only score a couple of campaign points each round, The Corellian Conflict guarantees you a thrilling series of battles that mount in tension as they build toward the final campaign points… or as your opponents risk everything in a desperate gamble, throwing the remainder of their fleets at you in a one, climactic All-Out Offensive.

Ik hoop na zondag een keuze te kunnen maken. Als X Wing mij erg bevalt dan wil ik wel voor de core gaan anders zet ik mijn geld op Armada en dan snel op zoek naar medespelers.
