Via een Tweet kwam ik achter deze nieuwe tv programma, die morgen van start gaat op Travel Channel. Natuurlijk hebben we deze zender niet, tenzij je wellicht schotel hebt met goeie decoder. Maar wie heeft dat nou nodig als je internet hebt, daar vind je alles π
Ik ga maandag mijn best doen om de 1e aflevering hiervan te vinden. Want een show over vintage toys van Kenner en Hasbro, tja... dat zegt genoeg! π
Collectible toy expert Jordan Hembrough goes searching through Cincinnati area garages, basements, attics and warehouses for vintage and rare Kenner/Hasbro toys on βToy Huntersβ (11 p.m. Sunday, Travel Channel).
Itβs a one-hour pilot by Sharp Entertainment (βMan vs. Food Nationβ) for a potential series β though some involved here worry about the possible audience for the show at 11 p.m. on a Sunday night. So set the DVR.
Hembrough of Hollywood Heroes.com looks for old Star Wars, Thundercats and other vintage Kenner toys at the homes of former Kenner/Hasbro employees Rob Meyer in Anderson Township, Ron Boyle of Withamsville and others, plus Queen City Comics, for him to take to the New York ComiCon, Boyle said.
βThe show is a loving tribute to the history of toys and toy collecting, and with the rich history ofβ¦ all things Kenner, people of all ages will enjoy this fun, colorful, informative show,β said Meyer, a graphic designer, illustrator and collector.
Boyle worked at Kenner/Hasbro for eight years, and then Warner Bros. Toy here in town for four years. He now workes from home for many different toy companies, including Hasbro, and other consumer product companies on a consulting basis.

If you enjoy watching shows like Auction Hunters, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, then you will need to watch Toy Hunters which will Premiere on Travel Channel next Sunday. We had a chance to chat with the creator and host of the show Jordan Hembrough and I think it is finally about time toy collectors get a show. We need this show to air and he needs viewers!
We are always on the hunt for the best of the best in toys, which may include prototypes, those super rare pieces, production pieces that had to be changed for safety reasons, or those last couple of pieces that the stores did not order enough of. Toy Hunters is that show and Jordan Hembrough and his team are in search of these rare, desirable toys as everyone is in search of. Jordan and his team travel throughout the nation in search of the toys we loved playing with as kids and maybe still play with now, no matter how old we are! We are very excited for this show and can not wait to see what the Toy Hunters will find.

En wat een gave show, die gast duikt in bergingen, zolders etc vol met vintage toys van vroeger. Aflevering 1 begint in het hart van Cincinetti, waar Kenner in de glorie jaren begon π
Hij vind oa een rocket firing boba fett, perfecte staat, waarde op Comic Con $10.000 π
Dit moet je zien, als je van vintage toys houd π
