Compagnions:
In Neverwinter kan je gebruik maken van zgn "Compagnions"
The companions system of Neverwinter is basically a hired-helper system available for all characters. At level 16, the quest "A Companion" becomes available from Sergeant Knox in Protectors Enclave.
You can hire a number of companions that take the form of items in your inventory which you activate when you need the help of the companion. Companions can range from simple mercenary humanoids to pet-like creatures. A single companion can be summoned at any time to help you quest through a dungeon or win a difficult battle. Each character in a five-player group can summon their own companion.
Companions can be customized with runestones and equipment.
Companions are classified by the following types just like classes:
Defender
Controller
Striker
Leader
Non Combat
Companions can be purchased for gold, Astral Diamond, seals, Ardent Coins, Trade Bars, or found as rare drops. Additional companions can be acquired from the Grand Emporium in Protectors Enclave, or from the Zen market. A unique companion is also included in each of the Founder's Packs.
Crafting:
Professions are the crafting skills in Neverwinter. Professions provide a way to make armor and/or earn currency, items, and experience. Unlocked at level 10, the profession system involves hiring Craftsmen and sending them out to perform tasks. A single craftsman for each profession can be acquired by performing a simple five-second task for each profession. These tasks take up a certain amount of time, though there is an option of spending Astral Diamonds to complete a task instantly. All of this is done through the Professions window, which is normally bound to the "N" key.
Many tasks also require Resources, which are consumable items most often collected by using Skills and Kits on various nodes throughout the world. Tools are also available that can be used to increase the chance of greater rewards, and assigning higher-quality craftsmen, or more craftsman, to a task will reduce the time required to complete the task. Both craftsmen and tools are known as Assets, neither of which are consumed when performing tasks.
Unlike in most other MMOs, professions do not have to be learned by speaking to a trainer, and characters are not limited to a specific number of professions. Instead, they have between one to nine slots for performing tasks; a character can only perform an available task if they have an open slot. Additionally, most tasks have a minimum profession level requirement; characters gain profession levels by performing tasks that award experience for that profession.

Astral Diamonds: This is a less common currency typically awarded by event participation or certain special quests. It can be used to purchase Zen through the Astral Diamond Exchange and items from a number of vendors.
Zen: This currency is primarily used in the Zen Market. It can be purchased for real-world money from Perfect World Entertainment or with Astral Diamonds through the Astral Diamond Exchange.
Special currencies:
Rough Astral Diamonds: These must be refined, after which they become regular Astral Diamonds. Only so many Astral Diamonds can be refined per day.
Ardent Coins: One of these may be awarded per day through the Invocation system. These are used to purchase items from the Vault of Piety.
Celestial Coins: Also used for purchases from the Vault of Piety, one of these may be also awarded per day through the Invocation system, but they may also be revoked if a day of Invocation is missed.
Glory: This is the currency obtained by playing in PvP. This currency can be used to obtain equipment with enchantments that are particularly useful in PvP and consumables that can be used during PvP matches.
Tarmalune Trade Bars: This currency is currently obtainable by opening a Nightmare Lockbox. This currency can be used to obtain Level 60 PVE equipment and Mounts.
Seals: There are a number of seals that can be earned and traded in for speacial gear.
